Texas Tech University School of Law traces its roots for 45 years which is located in Texas Tech University. The school stands among the historically rich schools spanning over 45 years. In 1930, a self-described national lawyer who was unable to afford the unusual educational costs in any of the three American Bar Association certified law schools positioned in Texas State. Later on, rather than getting the law schooling, he perused his own legal license by assisting under a local U.S Attorney for two years and passing the Texas Bar Examination in 1934.
After seeing his efforts and his desire to be a lawyer, his guest took a decision to form a law school in the West Texas at his Alma Mater, Texas Technological College. In a meeting, the board of directors decided to hire Richard B. Amandes as the First Dean of School in 1966. The first class begun in 1967 which consisted of only 72 students.
Since the school begun, it has graduated thousands of students in law, and a great number of those students are today successful lawyers. These successful law graduates incorporate the highest ranked military legal officer, first women to head a major federal law enforcement agency and many of litigators in the countryside.
