Cornell University is a federal land-grant Institute located in New York. It is a privately funded university that is a member of Ivy League/Ancient Eight. Furthermore, it is also a partner of the State University, New York. CU was founded in 1865 but opened in 1868. Morrill Hall was the first building built on the central Ithaca campus, and today it covers around 628 different buildings in its more than 2000 acre land area.
It has been named as the very initial and truly American university due to its founders’ innovative egalitarian and pragmatic spirit of higher learning and committed to its land-grant purpose of predominate and civil service.
